UW TO GET New Athletic Director

Scott Woodward, UW's vice president for external affairs, has been the interim athletic director, and has been leading the university's fundraising effort to find money for the overdue renovation of 89-year-old Husky Stadium. The stadium is the Pac-10's oldest football venue, which is located along the shoreline of the UW facing Kirkland,Wa.
(my note) This area was filled in when they graded the original campus and is the site of the original stadium roof collapse.
