USGS Earthquake Hazards Program: Earthquake Location: SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CALIF.

3 DAY ALERT FOR SWARM ACTIVITY?
I think that the USGS in Cal should have the public alerted not only after a major quake for the typical 3 day grace period, but also after any unusual swarm activity.
For example Hollister always has small quakes, never big ones, but they usually portend for other activity on the San Andreas Fault. Today, Pleasanton had an ususual swarm, so the public should be made aware of the potential that this could signify that a mainshock is in the works.
